'Exchanges' - Conversations with...
The journal is Open Access and without a fee, and is published in October and April each year.
CALL FOR PAPERS: Vol 5(2), April 2018
Exchanges: the Warwick Research Journal is the peer-reviewed, open access, interdisciplinary research journal of the Institute of Advanced Study (IAS), University of Warwick. We are inviting high-quality interdisciplinary submissions from researchers at all stages of their careers in all academic fields.
For the April 2018 edition, we particularly welcome submissions which will contribute to a themed section on ‘Truth and Evidence’. The concepts of truth and evidence are pertinent to current debates within and across many disciplines. What is ‘truth’? Does it exist? Can we know it? How can we obtain it? How can we prove it? How can we disseminate it? As truth is often inextricably linked to power, we also ask who/what decides what the truth is and how something becomes considered true by a group of people. To further complicate the issue, are there multiple truths? How do we deal with the truth(s), particularly under uncertainty and/or with our preconceptions? Exchanges is interested in the ontology, epistemology, theorisation, and construction of truth, the methodology of collecting evidence, the dissemination, reception, and reproducibility of truth, and many other aspects of the theme.
Submissions which do not engage with the theme of ‘Truth and Evidence’ are also welcome.
